Google public DNS
Google's quest to make the internet a better, faster, safer place to be has resulted in them launching a public DNS service. I've just reconfigured by router to use it (I use VM, and use some other public DNS service instead of VMs as theirs is rubbish!) - hopefully Google's will be pretty good... Nice, easy to remember IPs as well:
Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
Secondary: 8.8.4.4
Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
Secondary: 8.8.4.4
