PS3 60GB, hot after 5 minutes
I've bought the 60gb version PS3 for my nephew and when I tested it, after about 5 minutes it did get quite hot. I wasn't even playing games, just left it in the main screen.
Done the same test with my 80gb ps3 and that didn't get no where near as hot.
Is this normal for the 60gb versions? Oh, it was bought secondhand on eBay.

yeah mine's the same - the fans kick into hyperdrive within a few minutes. the older models were 90nm and do consume more power and therefore run hotter.
turn it off by the rocker on the back, hold eject, turn back on. then turn it back off after a few seconds. might clear some dust out.
