HP Laptop 6710b to be exact ..
Doesn't seem to detect the wireless .. installed the drivers from HP and nothing .. the wireless button doesn't respond , its one of those touch sensitive ones. Nothing in device manger either ..
Any ideas?
Its the bluetooth too and I just opened it up and both are present ..

my corporate laptop is the same model - those touch sensitive buttons are utter ****e
if the blue light isn't on - showing wireless is active, then I doubt anything in the OS will make any difference
mine occasionally throws a wobbly -- i think when hibernating
presumably you have tried a cold boot
you can try disabling the connection then renabling it
(sorry I actually left my laptop at work for the first time in years today)
but i could take a look at mine tommorrow if you still have a problem

The Vista drivers will usually work if the 7 ones aren't availabe. Maybe leaving it plugged in to t'internet and allowing it an overnight (or a couple) of updatings?
