Hi there
Don't know much about PC's so require some assistance. Just bought a new PC with a 64mb onboard graphics.
I want to use a spare TV that I have so do I need to buy a 64mb card with TV out to get the same/better performance or can I buy a 16/32mb card to use only for TV?
Sorry I'm a bit slow when it comes to technical stuff.
Cheers

Its not a good idea to use a TV screen with your PC - you'll find the windows desktop unreadable and blurred.
To answer your question though, you'll need to disable your onboard graphics and fit a card with a tv out on it.

Alas,
a typical PC will have a display of 1024*768 "pixels" or more.
A TV, at perfect resolution will only be around 600*625, so straight away you are losing quality.
Another way of thinking is that a TV screen, even at 32-bit (True) colour can display 600*625*32 bits worth of information - around 12 million in total, whereas you graphics card can store quite a bit more!!!

Answered my question and saved me cash on the card. It was just a thought. Looks like its going to be a bigger monitor then.
