Default iPad question?
Does it have a working microphone?

The reason I ask is that the guy I spoke to at PC World today, told me it had one but it didn't actually work as it wasn't wired into the board.

Sounds odd to me :-/

Yes it does have a mic and it is hooked up. I just downloaded VoicePlus (an iphone app) and tried it and it certainly picked up my voice and played it back to me.

I think skype will work with the mic too. I'd have tried it if it let me login

Yes it does, because you can do voice search in Google.
