Default NAS BOX

I wanted a NAS box, nothing expensive was thinking netgear nothing too big but i needed 3TB - 4TB of storage.

Does anyone recommend anything?

I have an icybox, supports 2 x 2tb discs (I believe a 3tb is due to be released very soon by seagate I think it is), connected to netgear gigabyte router. Store all films and music on there. Think it cost about £130 ish. There is a cheaper version which is problematic and requires restarts

Qnap, Synology or Thecus.

I'm currently choosing between a Synology Diskstation 410 and a Thecus n0503.

Have a 4 bay Qnap at work (with 2 drives) and it's great, very stable - just feel file transfers are a bit slow (from Mac anyway)
