Guys, just switched to my old netgear router as the broadband performance is better than the pos that o2 sent- but wireless ain't that good upstairs.
Can't really move the router too much due to location of socket.
Can I add a repeater or a range extender of some kind? Maybe plug in upstairs?
Thanks.

I've tried lots of things to improve my wireless signal: higher gain aerials, repeaters etc.. with limited success.
By far the easiest solution is to use powerline adaptors, something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003E521Q...SIN=B003E521QY

I already have a cat5 network in the house that goes back to a hub in the airing cupboard. How about swapping that for a wireless router with dhcp turned off? Would that work?
