Default Monitors - do I buy this:

I've been pining to go back to a 16xx x 1200 resolution since I shelved by old Hitatchi CRT in favour of two TN LCDs and the usual 1050/1024 lines with the usual annoying colour banding, black and view angle issues. Plus silly as it seems, I really miss those few extra lines. So I've promised myself a IPS or VA type panel(s) of some sort for a long time but I've been waiting....and waiting.

What I really want is a LED matrix lit IPS/VA panel that does 2560x1600 with built-in motion interpolation (or the ability to drive it at 120hz). It doesn't exist, and no doubt never will without costing more than my car. Anyway, VAT rise looming, me feeling bored/silly. I want a new high-end screen(s).

Thus far I'm thinking of this: http://www.lg.com/uk/it-products/mon...tor-W3000H.jsp on its own.

or

Maybe a 24" 1920x1200 like this: http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna...hs1&sku=294438 with a 1600x1200 20" to go alongside like this: http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna...dhs1&sku=59230

Thoughts? Are there any other models I should consider? ( 1200 lines minimum, of course. Don't really want to spend more than £900).

Oh and will a HD4870 drive that lot ok or shall I crossfire it??

Cheers

Eizo and HP are looking good for the money. I'm starting to think that 30" LG might be overkill (not sure if it'll even fit on the desk )

I have 2 30" Dell(but these are used in my studio for making music),but i'm now thinking get some 24"IPS(Eizo is something which i'm looking for)
I think too for personal photoshoping and some graphic design go for 24"-26" IPS its great, but everything is about your GPU/graphic card(ATI 5770 or 5850 are now cheap and support DX11,but in new Adobe CS5 you are need something from nVidia due Adobe support CUDA),which may slowing down, but you will see

Its really hard to get a 1920x1200. I managed to get an LG W2452 from ebay grade 1 for £150! And its a pretty good monitor, plays Black Ops at 1920 x 1200 with my ATI 5850 no worries.
