Default How do i get this effect using photoshop?

Hi all,

Just had a long weekend down london and took a pic i like of tower bridge-however i would like to photoshop it a bit to make it even better.

Basically i want the bridge to stay same as it is now but i want to make the sky appear in reds and oranges (solarize?) so it appears like fire in the sky, if i make sense, or also maybe do it andy warhol style where you have that 4 picture thing he did.

Anyone help me to do this in photoshop please so i know for future use?

many thanks

mark

Plenty of tutorials on YouTube for the Warhol effect.

For the sky all you need to do Is select the sky and create a new layer with it and adjust your levels

If select the sky in your preferred method and then image > adjustments > hue/saturation > select colourize and play with the sliders to the colour/effect you want.

when i say the sky in reds and oranges i dont mean as in a single colour but so the clouds etc are in different shades to the sky but all in firey colours, if that makes sense

yes the learning curve for photoshop is quite steep. as ant says it is about the layers. you can break the photo into as many layers as you want. each layer can then be adjusted to taste.
