Bought a casemate case, rubber inner with kevlar outer cover, not the most fashionable case but hard as nails, droped it the other day walking to work and it skidded on the pavement, not a scratch on it, well worth £20 to me.
FFor scren protectors I go to the local market and buy them from a phone stall for £2, do same for wifes Wildfire S, they work fine, no point paying phone shop prices, usually £8 each in carphone warehouse, the skill is putting them on properly

You sure? If so why do Samsung sell an official screen protector for it?

I think the upshot it that because it has a Gorilla Glass screen you don't really need one but I thought it was a good idea on mine anyway.
I got the official Samsung mesh cover:

I have got a case mate tough for my s2 , very good case but adds quite a bit of bulk but I drop my phone nearly every day, this is the first phone I did not use a screen protector on and the screen still does not have a mark on it. I take the case off if I am going out somwhere nice.

I have this one:

I just want it protected in my pocket. I like to get the whole phone out when i use it so this is perfect.
