Got my first jet points yesterday woohoo. Half way to getting some IR flares lol.

Got sniped on one map and saw where chap was high up on a hill. Respawned, sneaked up and there were 3 of them so knifed 2 then other started to move so capped his *** with my glock

I was having a blast in the jets last night. Lasted pretty much the entire map but never killed anythign but disabled 1 jet and 1 copter. So much easier to keep alive once you have the IR flares.

Been using the support role more now as some serious firepower and good to have a restock of grenades on the tight street battle maps. Explosives are pretty handy for laying traps for tanks especially when you can endlessly resupply yourself

How do people manage to keep spawning in the jet. Pisses me off!

Because its an option on the spawn screen!

I've never had that option only spawn with squad or bases

Only an option if it's still available. At the start of a map it's a race to see who loads first and presses select first. I've had it where both jets are visible and they disappear literally as I press my button. Annoying but can't think of a better way to make it fairer.

Once in game it's a case of checking respawn options or just spawn at your base and wait on the runway.

Tbh I get literally no kills or points in the jet but it's so much fun and keeps the enemy jets off the rest of your team.

Best thing I love about bf3 you don't need load of kills to gain xp like cod
I was top 3 last night with just 5 kills all the rest was from gaining bases and healing team members

Yeah its a lot more team based and squads are cool just for the spawn options. Annoying when everyone picks say support and no one is Assault to dish out some healing. Or if you jump out of a tank as gunner to repair it and your driver just speeds off with a smoking tank grrrr.

I find the select button for asking for ammo / medipack etc is very hit & miss.

One annoyance from the Beta resurfaced yesterday. One chap was on his mic and wasnt even talking but sounding like he was watching tv and had the game on speakers as all I could hear was the game and some american drivel. Using the scoreboard I couldnt even see who it was speaking and when I turned VOIP to from Team to OFF I could still hear him. Only option was to turn my headset on and leave it off to one side so I couldnt hear him. Was driving me me nuts.

Server patch was done yesterday. Didnt get much online time as had a strange issue with my router / homeplug setup so couldnt get online. From what I did play seems to be a lot less lag and rubberbanding as they call it. Got some cracking shots with the SV98 sniper.

Unlocked the Javelin which is pretty powerful but takes ages to lock on by which time enemy tank has toasted you. Support C4 is still the best for taking out tanks. I love Seine Crossing as its tight. Run around the corner lay 5 packs of c4 and wait in the bushes for the enemy tank to rock up as it always does - BOOM 2 kills straight off the bat haha.
