Default Bullgaurd expired - options pls

Do I renew, or is there anything free worth considering?

Used to use AVG but the builder I bought this last PC off reckoned that wasn't too effective...?

Cheers

Microsoft Security Essentials will be good for you,AVG is not the best and in my view is taking too much from memory and CPU.

Avira is good too....

Both avast and avira are good,

Avira lost out to its top slot due to its own company advertising and nag screens to update to paid stuff....

That said its only one mouse click to get rid

(even comodo has pop up reminders about paid stuff when doing updates )

Microsoft Security Essentials is good, unobtrusive, and uses very little resources. Avoid AVG at all costs, (had to recover far too many machines which have been "protected" by it over the years).
