Default archos 80 g9

I got a archos 80 g9 tablet for Christmas and I'm not that clued up on it the moment
anyway I did something wrong the other night and some how I have disabled the auto rotate function of them screen
I have checked all the settings and the screen is set to auto but it still won't work
When I was using it the other night I slid something across by accident like when you move the bottom toolbar to the side of the screenon your PC only I don't know how to fix it
Has any one got any idea what I have done

Have you tried system recovery or returning to factory settings?

Not yet but I have just been having a play again and with auto rotate switched on it will let me turn it to vertical but not back to horazontal. I have checked firmware and it is up to date. I think I will try a resetting to factory settings now the only thing is I will lose all the Widgets I have downloaded
