She has an Acer Aspire 5536 and it's screen (15.6") has decided to play silly buggers, so she is thinking of a new laptop.
I'm looking for advice on what she could / should look at.
Budget is about £350 / CAD$550
Ideally at least 15.6 screen.
It's mainly for web browsing, running Office, Citrix to remote login to the office.
If it could be somewhat tough, that would be nice too, but not completely essential.
Ideally windows 7, as I've not used Windows 8, and don't really want to troubleshoot it, but if a machine comes with 8, I presume it can be downgraded to 7?
Can anyone offer some suggestions of what laptops would fit these requirements? I know some might not be available over here, or differently priced (If lucky, it'll be cheaper!). I'm somewhat out of touch on the PC side of things, last one I built was probably 2003.
Thanks
