Default whatsapp users

im going to install whats app but i have a few questions,can i see my contacts friends if they have whats app? ie if i added my mate at work can i automatically see all of his friends and talk to them on whats app or is there a privacy setting? if im speaking to somebody on whats app can other people view who im talking to? not into face-fail or any bollocks like that as i cant be doing with all the **** on there so thought i would try this

You can see which of your contacts have whats app, that's it. No-one else, not friends of friends.

No-one else can see who you are chatting to, it's just like text messaging.

Unlike text messaging, you can see what time someone was last on whats app, so no ignoring messages haha

Similar to a group chat on facebook or imessage you can add as many of your contacts as you like

Very good sending photos, texting someone in your directory.

But viber for actually talking, to someone abroad.

Nope they cant do that. Only your friends that are added from your phonebook

Plus It'll work with wifi. So If you've got no signal you can still use Whatsapp
