No Moses anyone not backing Britain and USA is not an ally. I fully support the war on terrorism and that includes taking out Saddam Hussein and liberating Iraq.

i wanted saddam to go out too but not by the filthy bush

this is not bowing to terrorism, this is listening to their problem and cancer, only way is to cure the sick
this is being brave and saving a nation and u think al qaeda is doing this for fun or is it the revenge and oppression and the support of the dictators in our countries

Moses you and me will never agree on this. We have completely the opposite end of the scale beliefs.
There was no warning in Spain, didn't see Al Quaeda giving warnings then - something that ETA has always done as far as I know (not that it makes them any better). Thats why my first thoughts were that it was Al Quaeda (and that fact it was too large an operation for ETA).
By pulling their troops out of Iraq is just giving in to the terrorists and encourages more of their behaviour as it is shown to work. Its also a case of shutting the gate after the horse has bolted Does their new leader not realise the damage has already been done? He is a muppet for thinking this will change anything. In the eyes of terrorists Spain are in/have been in cooperation with USA and the UK and helped get rid of Saddam. hmm i partly agree with that the terrorists may think it happened coz of them and they will forget the socialists already had said they would pull them soldiers out
so i do agree with u their its catch 22
but maybe it will help, only God knows, longer they stay in iraq the worst its gonna get, al qaeda are killing muslims too now not just shia also sunni and wahabi's coz they believe they arent doing anything about their regimes

Thats another thing, OBL is no Muslim. So much of the Muslim world supports him yet what they over look is that he kills Muslims just as much as he kills westerners. He couldn't give a toss about Saudi Arabia, its just an excuse to have a go at USA. I do firmly believe he was shat on from a great height by the Americans after they had used him to fight in Afghanistan and thats the real reason he has so much hatred for them otherwise he would be the biggest hypocrite on the face of the planet if he says it was fine to be on their side one decade then another decade he says they are the sworn enemy purely based on religious beliefs.
What ever the USA Governement and the CIA did to him, it does not warrant his claims to call the Muslim world to gather arm against them. He is just using religion for his own needs, exactly what all terrorists do, to amass the greatest following they can muster up Those who follow and support him are also victims and are ruining their own lives for one mans personal crusade.

B20 - I've said this before - you need to check your facts before you post. Withdrawal from Irag was in the socialist manifesto long before the terrorist attack. So its hardly a weak-minded, wooly, knee-jerk reaction now, is it.

If muslim's care so much about Palestine, why don't they all go and invade Israel. Or if they can't do that, why aren't Al Queda over there bombing innocent civilians.

I can see both points of view here but in a recent UK poll 68% of those surveyed stated they will vote against Labour if a similar attack happened here. In March 2003 Spains José María Aznar pledged support and troops for the war in Iraq. The Spanish people were enraged at Aznar's pledge, with 90% believing (as most cynics did in the UK) that it had nothing to do with a fight against terror. Therefore the opposition to Spain’s involvement has been simmering in the background for a while and imo was to be expected.
Spain has stated that they will withdraw its token presence of 1300 troops from Iraq unless the Bush administration turns over the running of Iraq and its transition to democracy to the United Nations. Seems pretty fair to me as this is what happened in Afghanistan. Why is it not happening? You tell me, but the liquid black stuff seems as good a reason as any.
I'm sorry but imo the UK is looking increasingly isolated in Iraq with absolutely no one seeing any benefit from being involved in the first place and everyone agreeing that the threat of global terrorism has increased because of it.
The war in Iraq has also allowed Al-Qaeda and other militant groups to hijack and accelerate Muslim opinion in many areas, especially in Iraq itself and more recently in Palestine and now in countries such as Spain. Al-Qaeda has long been known to have a number of sleeper cells in Spain. The country jailed more than two dozen suspects, eight of whom are thought to have helped plan the September 11 attacks, also suspects in last May's Casablanca bombings and the earlier synagogue bombing in Tunisia were also arrested in Spain. Whether or not it was Al Qaeda, the Moroccan Islamic Combatant Group or Salafia Jihadi doesnt matter in the scheme of things. When you look at the facts then Spanish opinion and the threat of withdrawal from Iraq is hardly any surprise.
