This dreadful impasse will never be sorted without a genuine will for peace on the sides of all the leaders concerned and a proper land re-distribution as B20 says. Israel will just have to bring back its settlers and get rid of that wall which is causing so much grief to so many Palestinians. They will soon be regarded as Pariahs by the rest of the World if they don't accept some kind of truly honest settling of the uneven situation and stop allowing these terrible atrocities to take place. Once you lose World sympathy you will be on a very sticky wicket!

This little boy's death is such a tragic waste of life and it makes me ashamed that nothing more is done from the world community...

But behind the pictures, where is the truth?

Each news report hyperlinked below is different.

We have Islamonline saying he was throwing stones at an Israeli tank on his way to school and was hit by a sniper in the neck.

Aljjazeera say he was at home when he was hit through his window by a patrol just after turning his back.

And the sky report highlights that he was possibly hit by a Palestinian gunman who sprayed bullets at an Israeli patrol or by the same patrol who opened fire on his house.

Who can we believe? How on earth do we make sense of this?

If such a tragic and sickening thing is reported three different ways, what hope is there of making any sense of the situation in the hope of resolving it?

Answer is, we can't. So it is left up to our own individual and differing opinions and taking what we want from the reports above to suit our own agendas.

And so we go round again... sad.

Im glad that people are beginning to see Israel for what it is...an occupier, a bully, and a thug. The 'creation' of Israel is never mentioned by zionists.....the fact that another country and people were forcibly expelled from their homes and their land seized by force. I think Alan made a good point.

It's propaganda, on all sides, mixed with confusion, and scoops (on other BBS's that word does not refer to the intercooler intake)

I think it's important to not get caught in the news frenzy. That is of course not possible if you are directly involved, but it is one of the big "freedom" things left in our parts of the world: the right to not get drawn into it all, and to make up your own mind, based on all the news sources available.

what always strikes me as strange
Is that the Jews have been persecuted and killed most notibaly by the *****.
Any sympathy and most importantly respect they gained from the shocking time they had in the death camps seems to have been slowed erased by their treatment of the palistine. They are now the oppresors. You would have thought that they would have learn't from their own experience.

Morality dosen't count with the 'world community'. Israel is an important US ally/arms purchaser in a strategicaly important part of the world. So Israel can do what it likes and will continue to do so. And that is the sad truth.
