While others are on the subject, I had two run-in's with Alex Noble's in Penicuik.
The first was when buying my first Subaru, nothing major they were quite happy to offer me a test drive etc. but the were £500 above list price.
I went to Stan Palmer in Carlisle and got great service and a better price, plus the workshop have been brill ever since.
The next time I contacted Noble's was to enquire about a price for a full set of 17" standard Subaru wheels, they (someone called Colin, one of the son's I was told) tried to quote me the full Subaru price and add VAT on top again.
I told him no thanks in my best Scottish accent (F*** O**) and will never be back to Noble's again.
It is a pity for them because I can see myself owning quite a few Subaru's over the years, I'm bloody hooked now.
