Hi all,
I've got some scratches appearing on my drivers and passengers front side windows.
I'm aware this is a known problem on scoobynet.
Has anybody else had problems with getting these replaced on the warrenty or is there any additional info i should know before going to visit the dealer.

I called my local dealer and reported the same problem. After a few phone cals they eventually agreed to replace under warranty. That was approx. 2 months ago. Still waiting for confirmation, after repeated phone calls.

I had my drivers window replaced under warranty a couple of months ago. The problem are the pads that the windows slide against, they get grit on them and eventually scratch the windows. Mine is MY99 and I asked if this was the same on the newer MYs alas the answer was yes.
You can take the door card off and clean them yourself with some brake cleaning spray, but that wont help if they're scratched already.

I've just had confirmation from Town and County in Perth that I am
getting my drivers window replaced under warranty
Car was in for a service, said to service bloke that the window was scratched and getting worse (not too bad though). Asked him to have a looksie and see what he thought. His reply was it shouldn't be scratched and if the window hadn't been done before he put it on request.
Took 4 days for request to be granted. Result
.. getting replaced next Friday.
Makes you wonder really, I didn't make a big deal about it and there was no problems at all. Some dealers must just be asswipes
