I dealt with them in the early days. Not bad, quite pricey, Maya is the fella to deal with there...
Just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with them in recent times?
Have things improved or is Nana still spending most of the profits on new cars instead of new equipment etc etc...?
Sorry that sounds a little mean! But they did mess me around a little....
Anyway if you've used them recently post some comments!

I think the person you need to speak to is Scott Davies who posts on the board. I dealt with Nana a few months ago. I had a small-medium service done and he charged me more than what a full 30k mile service would have cost me elsewhere. Not slagging them off! Just agreeing with you that they are still over priced on EVERYTHING.

To be honest Gez you have a right to slag them off if Nana charges prices like that. Nana is a nice guy but Lordy Lord those prices!
When I dealt with them a few years ago I asked Nana if they had any experience at fitting Apexi V-Tec controllers. (I had all the usual bolt-ons, Cold Air Intake, After market exhaust, Intake manifold, pulleys, etc etc and wanted to finish it off with this) as I'd just bought one and although fitting one was not a problem I wanted to find someone with experience who could tune it for me. Well Nana replies "We have fitted 10 in the past year sir!" Fantastic I thought....
Well to cut a long story short and a truly horrific bill with minimum results (ie 2lbs torque gain) I asked Maya the chief mechanic if they had fitted one before "No" came the reply, " but with a little experience we'll get better, they are quite tricky to set-up".
.....I never used them again.

Andrew i could sit here slagging more garages and individuals that are meant to be jap car specialists then i care to think. I dont really think it is appropriate to slag whoever off on the board and im surprised we havent been moderated. If you want to know my wide and varied experiences of garages email me.

Point taken Gez. Didn't mean to start a 'trial by internet' it's just that the feelings I had at the time started to come out in my reply. I'm sure Option have had many happy customers they just didn't work out for me.

Scott Davies car was in one of the Jap mags - I believe he used Option - the tuning bill was £12k - this was in mag so very public domain.

At PE he got around 330bhp :-o

For £12k I would expect a lot more.

Gez,

for £12k I think you can get a lot more than a short block and 400bhp
