just a quicky to thank ian and the boys at stan palmers for my 30k service last week...good job done and friendly staff .. would recommend anybody to go there.
did have a few "brain out and into the glove box" moments on the way back down until i got the "look of the devil" from the wife and decided if i was to go out that night i'd better calm down a bit!

I know what you mean..not your "normal" Scooby dealer..

The Cumbrian Scoobs have aget together this Wednesday (13th) at The Sportsman Inn near Penrith. I just wondered if you were interested in joining some scooby owners there??

And another happy customer, new turbo fitted this morning, nice to go to a dealership with a passion for what they are doing, friendly and efficient service, well worth the 180 mile round trip.

Hi Midlife,

Sorry not much help to you I'm afraid, it was just the standard turbo replaced on our P1.
The original was slightly noisy at low revs and could be heard spooling down after the engine was switched off for 2 or 3 secs, no matter how long it had been left to idle.
Stan Palmers checked it on the 45000 service a couple of weks ago and ordered a new one under waranty.

Cheers
Paul

Midlife,

Hey leave her alone, no drooling, that's my job Need to go to Palmers (again) tomorrow, I'll be there at about 12.

Yes that was me with the LOUD MY99 (cw42 has it now), I'll no doubt see you around Carlisle. And I'll be going to Septembers Wednesday night meet in Penrith if I'm not too busy at work.

A week has never seemed so long as it does this week. 4 days to go

Hi Paul

Stan Palmer...not your average Subaru Dealer

Sorry to hijack the thread but was interested to read about the new turbo being fitted ..I just wondered what work you had done? Stan Palmers (aka Ian Armstrong) looks after my pride and joy and was thinking about changing the turbo on mine....

it seems that me and Ninnybobs and me are upping our BHP at the same time and the word "TD05" sprang to mind.....
