I havent dealt with scooby clinic, although I have heard good things about them, but API,I know,Know how to build engines.

My vote would be with API.

BTW David, please send my cup of coffee via courier.

I have an API rebuilt engine in my 99 type-r, and it's a superb job.

They're great guys too. They patiently dealt with all my paranoia induced drivel, and even faxed me through some very informative running in and oil change guidelines

In the post tonight mate - recorded delivery. Please make sure you post on here when you receive it. It won't be hot I'm afraid, but thats the post these days.

think both API and SC have very good reps with rebuilds/engine work...

bighead:
er, are you sure we both got the same scoobyclinic?

I've had nowt but first class service with them. and I've had some fairly tricky jobs for them to sort out.. they also listened to my paranoid drivel and concerns and then did/do a blinding job on the motor..
you must have been somewhere else, or really really pissed kev off in some way as I cant believe you are talking about the same place.. if anywhere was concerned with customer satisfaction I reckon its them.

nowt but love and happiness from the clinic crew but then maybe I'm 'special'

my 2p worth

been to API and had excellent service. David and his staff are top notch. Despite only having a minor service Nathan spent a few minutes going over the car whilst it was on the ramps and was happy to chat about all things mechanical and answer all my questions. and as already mentioned the coffee machine is always ready for action

having spoken to david on here from api, I can confirm I would trust him with my car.

Having been to scoobyclinic and spoken with some of them down there I can confirm they too know their stuff.. (and I will be letting them loose with my car.)

Bighead.. Every business has unhappy customers.. its a fact of life.. I dont trust ANYONE with my car due to what Ive done to it.. I would leave it in their hands though. Top lads and excellent service.

Theres also a review of them in Jap Performance car mag this month

Thanks for all your plugs guys,

Eder's engine [ car ] is here and we're looking after him. He sampled the tea and coffee AND he still lives. Tough man.

Grateful David at API Engines.
