All,

Where do you get your car serviced locally?

Are there any other places, other than Days, Wilsons or Xtreme?

Thanks,
John

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping that there was a more local garage to my new office in SoS.

Oh dear - so getting the 10K service on the car I just took from them thrown in for free is a bit like pissing into a force 9 gale then is it ? They've certainly cleaned up my old one nicely with a 2.5K mark up from my trade in. Car was due its 30K service and needed new brakes when I traded it in. I'm not complaining about the mark up, everyone needs to make a buck.

I had no problem with Wilsons over the 3 years I used them so what's the concern with Days please ? .

Question why?

Why would you give days a miss. I have had my car serviced there for the past two years and found them very helpful and maintains fssh.

My car came from Wilsons, and has been serviced since at Days - no probelms there; never used Xtreme. Just hoping for a place nearing to the office as I have seen and heard a lots of scoobys around the town.

I use extreme because i feel that it isnt just a 'day job' to them.
There always at local meetings.and outings giving there support and advice.
customer service is now so important and i feel that this is what they have.

plus a p2 and endless hot chocalate...

Daze of chelmsford, had two bad experiances there, good stuff from wilsons whilst car was under warranty but xtreme every time now, much more efficient friendly and none of the dealer rip off prices. Worth the twenty minute drive if you ask me.

I've used Days of Chelmsford for the last Two years and had all my services done and various mods fitted there.
The Customer service and workmanship has been excellent, I can't fault them at all.

Days are well worth a try.

Been to Wilson all the time. Just get one well with the service manager and they were good to me in relation to some warranty work.

Thumbs down

I've been using Days whilst the car was under warrantee but I'll be using Xtreme from now on.

I've had one service there after which my car developed a strange handling problem that still hasn't been resolved by them. Hopefully Leda in Braintree can fix it. Then I had a warrantee claim for a faulty stereo. I poped in on a Saturday and the Manager confirmed the problem but didn't have time to remove the unit to make a note of the serial number. I went back the next week and left it for them to get the serial number. I got the car back and waited nearly two weeks before phoning them. They said 'Oh dear, the mechanic seems to have noted down the model number and not the serial number, please come back in again.'. They managed it on the third visit!.

It sounds like it's a bit of a luck thing as to whether you get a good mechanic at Days.

Sorry but I have to disagree on this one. Customer service is very poor. Still waiting for them to return my call from 12 months ago and they knew nothing about the sigma alarm warranty upgrade.

Where are they at the frequent ESC meets?

Xtreme everytime for me "Hello, Knowlsey speaking". Do you get that response when you phone Days?

...Xtreame are the way to go excellent customer service and its more than just a job to them...top geezers

days took ten days to diagnose and replace a faulty alarm ECU; they only did something after I bitched at Subaru UK
