I tried contacting him a few months ago (for a full replacement of disks, pads, fluid, hoses and fitting), but after two unanswered emails and a number of unanswered phones calls, I gave my business to someone who could deliver the most basic of customer service.

Do a search and you will see a mixed review of both products and service.

I've had no problems contacting him by e-mail, always a reply within a couple of hours or next day, never tried phoning him though but he is a one man business so it's not always possible to answer the phone, not making excuses for him but just stating the facts.

I know that Ian has many happy customers on this forum but my experience has not been too good - many problems with a complete brake setup for a MY98 - impossible to get hold of Ian to sort them out - etc., etc.

When you are talking about brakes, a fairly important safety feature, I would go fo a big name brand from a mainstream supplier. Once bitten, twice shy.

I am aware Ian has a number of happy customers, as well as unhappy ones.

Despite this, I tried to contact him inorder to overhaul my brakes, emails were sent months ago with no reply. I appreciate he is a one-man outfit, but not being able to leave a telephone message or knowing if he has even read my emails (or has chosen to ignore them for whatever reason) does not bode well!

Chill people, i mearly asked if anyone had heard from him lately, not if he was good bad or indifferant.
I didnt want this thread to turn into potentially damaging idle chit chat.

Ive now recieved a couple of very helpfull e-mails from Ian and everything is fine as far as im concerned.
Sorry if ive sounded harsh, no offence meant to anybody
