Thanks API - David
all to often we moan about bad service so thought i would let you know about some good for a change!
Needed a transformer for my blown HID light. Tried Grade -A who were clean out so tried API instead.
Spoke to David who wasn't sure if any were in stock and said he would get back to me. Couple of hours later got the call back saying one was in stock and had been tested ready to go out so should have my light back by tomorrow
All in all a good customer experience and a good alternative for car parts etc
Thanks

That's a normal sort of response from David
Phoned today with a suspected rad leak. After being told to check the usual water leak 'weak spots' I'm over there tomorrow for a check over. New rad and/or hoses standing by if needed (track day Friday so everything needs to be secure).
Been there a number of times with little niggles and nothing seems too much trouble.
Great bunch of guys
PS That must be worth a tea

Thanks guys
Just doin' our job really.
Glad to hear that your lights fixed themselves Rob, No sweat to have the HID transformer back for credit either. We'll sell it or use it soon I am sure, as they can't be bought loose from Japan.
Gerry, do you want cucumber or smoked salmon in your sandwiches with the ' tea' ??

Went to API as arranged. A split in the rad was quickly diagnosed and a new one fitted in less time than it took to consume all that tea and sandwiches.
Thanks David & Crew

David,
Your right in some ways about just doing the job however not every company sees it that way.
As for the self fixing lights/transformer i guess it just needed a bit more time to fully dry out. Thanks for being understanding and accepting your part back with no quibbles - another area where some other companies fail. I look forward to dealing with you again although hopefully next time it won't mean something is playing up!

Try and stay on the hard black bit between the green bits, I find it keeps my bodywork straighter.

Stayed on the black stuff today and was really enjoying it untill the header/up-pipe gasket decided it'd had enough. No fun with no boost

Gerry, The boys get bacon sarnies for enyone here at around that time They usually order about 09.30 so you'll get in on the deal at that time of day. It's become a Saturday thing.
Seriously !!
I won't be here as I am having a lie down in a dark room but Mark and Nathan and all will sort you out.
Simon De Banke has the courtesy wagon at the mo. but he says he'll have it here for around ten o'clock. He knows you will probably need it.
Good luck talk to you soon.

As expected a new gasket was fitted in literally 5 minutes, less time than the bacon sarnie took to eat and very nice it was too and I was on my way without needing the courtesy wagon
It does make you wonder and appreciate good service when half way through a track day you have to abandon procedings for something as trivial, but major as a blown up-pipe gasket. I ended up trying 2 exhaust specialists and a Subaru specialist to be told "Sorry we don't have a gasket and wouldn't be able to fit it till next week anyway"
The nearest Subaru dealer's Parts Dept. had a bloody answer phone on, how frustrating is that?
A big for API. Again
Gerry

Just a shame you lost half a day of track time Sorry about that. Maybe the bacon butties help take some pain away.
Good luck and thanks again for the kind words.
