Default PCM TOP GUY

finally 15 months after having my 2005 sti ppp wrote off in a acciddent (NOT my fault) i have put a deposit down on a my05 spec c from PCM its been to long and i always said to my self if i get another scooby i would go down the jdm route i have noticed its been a hot topic on sn over the last couple off months were to buy from what car jdm sti or spec c or spec c wr limited or spec c ra with regards to wich model ultimately i personaly think has to be a dission made by your self and a lot of searching on sn helps to push u in the right direction.

but my major worry for me was paying for a car that u only see in a picture when buying from an importers and all the other stuff like whats an auction sheet what does gradeing of car mean what documents do u get and so on . this is were the great service from pcm comes in to it. so i made the trip up to pcm in manchester on saturday to have a chat with immey and try and get all my quaestions answered and he did. i had prob chewed his ear off by the time i left . but the main thing was i left really wanting to put my bussines pcm way and really that all that matters in my eyes
so eny one thinking off going the jdm route i really would give pcm a call.

Immey is getting me some info on both the JDM and the Spec C. Would love a Spec C but not sure if the budget will stretch that far. Never the less, just waiting to hear from him sometime this week.

Well if your EVO is running a genuine 400 and not pub 400 then it might struggle but having driven 'Immy's' own Spec C i can confirm its awesome.

Loads of low down grunt and just simply takes off at 2000rpm and just rockets towards the redline, if your Evo suffers any lag - your history mate

handling and stopping is just simply out of this world - if i could afford one i'd buy one tommorrow.

Well, I've already bought a car from PCM & it's sitting on my drive!! I'll second the thoughts of RCWhite above - PCM's a great guy, he sells awesome cars & he finds time to be really helpful. Can't ask for any more ...

What's the insurance situation on JDM cars? Is it a big step up from a UK car (depending on type obviously)

I have just had a call off Immy to say that he may of found me a car. Sent me some pics of a smart black 04 JDM STI with 13K on the clock. 18" wheels & a few more extras. Looking at around £15K for the JDM. Need to sell my MY00 classic first before I jump into buying something else.

Marin you will find not as great a differance as you think most of the specialised insurance companys know about imports/models and give very competative quotes off the top of my head I think my insurance is about £20 more on my spec-c than what was on my old modified bugeye and the import in my mind is a far superior car.Just do a search on this forum you will find plenty of insurance companies who will help you out.

My car is defo 400 bhp mate, been on 3 rollers, its autronic'd, carbon prop, bb turbo, soon to be replaced with a slightly biggeer one running at 1.65 bar boost peak, mr cams, boost controller, tein flex coilovers, pf discs and pads, ceramic coated turbo elbow, and manifold, 3'' aps exhaust, it hits full boost by 3100 rpm, many more parts, i came first in a sprint in the car, i have run 12.33@ 112.70mph at the quarter many times, the car is spot on mate, i agree the spec c is a very good car,
