Have just bought a new Impreza WRX 5dr, and my wife is so impressed that she's thinking Subaru for her next car. She runs a business and needs something bigger, and fancies the Outback 3.0Rn. Two problems: bought new in the UK, the 1st-year depreciation is shocking (50% according to What Car?); and new MY07 models seem to be in very short supply, and are expensive if pre-registered.

A reputable import supplier can source a RHD UK-spec "parallel import" via the EU at a huge discount, and we're seriously considering this. But is there a downside? Have any of you purchased "parallel imports"? If so, how does Subaru UK behave in honouring the Subaru EU warranty? And have you experienced any push-back from local dealers when getting it serviced?
