Does anyone know of any Dealers who are still doing discounts on the PPP for a MY99?
I've been quoted around £1900 by two dealers near me. The Search isn't online at the moment, but I seem to recall some dealers doing it for around £1700.
Cheers

Thanks for the replies.
I'll give both of them a call on Monday. According to the route planner on the RAC web site, it's about a 5 Hour drive there, but the drive back with the PPP fitted will be worth it :-).
Cheers

Ummmm,
I'm looking at this as well. For a MY99 (or MY00 like mine) the car has to go to prodrive for the PPP. The dealers spin a yarn about how hard it is to fit or something. Anyway I have phoned Prodrive and you can drive the car to them and wait while its being done (chap on the phone said it takes about 3-4 hours). They would rather not but will if arranged by the dealer. The car needs a full tank of SUL/Optimax but thats it.
The point of this is that you don't even need to go to a dealer its just a case of finding one to process the paperwork for you over the phone and take your money. Easy way for them to make a small amount of money, I thinks its about £200 on each one. If you do the delivery/collection yourself then you also get to drive it straight away and save the money on delivery AND not lose the car for up to 4 days
The best I've found so far is Tilleys of Bristol c.£1400 can't remember if that was with VAT or not. Ring the lot and see who will do you the best price. The worst is the Ashburton Motor Works who wanted £2500!!
The whoel thing is of coursea load of bollockz IMHO as dealers can fit PP at dealership for bugeyes. Another case of IM making it hard for owners to do things and deny dealers another revenue stream.
Another couple of months and I'm going to do it, when I've saved up enough
Hope this helps

As you`re in the west country have you considered a Link package from BRDevelopments? Bob Rawle is in Wiltshire. If you already have a modded exhaust you will be paying for another one with the PPP! The Link is done while you wait and you get to ride in the back while Bob and Branko map the ECU! Take a look on their website www.brdevelopments.com

The reason the <00MY's have to go to Prodrive is the setting up of the ECU once fitted.
>01MY ECU's are plug and play.

My MY00 didn't have to go to Prodrive because I fitted it myself (obtained from a written off MY00), the ECU is just a case of plug it in.
These ECU's are a closed loop ECU to stop people tampering with them (eliminates warranty claims by doing this). So what can Prodrive do other than use a select monitor to ensure all parameters are what they should be? A dealer could do this.
Damian.

Cheers for the Info Beastie
Just rang them and they charge £1500 + VAT. It'll save me having to drive all the way to Prodrive from Newcastle.
I thinks it's time to empty the Credit Card with a PPP purchase, oh and the 45K service is due aswell, nice...
