Default Classic clicking clutch pedal fix.

My classic's clutch pedal has started clicking last week and and after a few hours playing inside and outside of the car I've narrowed it down to the bracket that the pedal assembly bolts to. Now since I've found loads of threads about a spot weld failure on the bracket that causes this clicking sound when the pedal is pressed... Ruled out the clutch and master cylinder(new one fitted) Noise is right at the pedal bracket inside the car when your heads under the dash.

My question is can anyone supply any details on how to fix this and can it be done without taking the dash out or not. I've seen all the sound proofing under there which I'm going to have to remove to make it safe to weld. Anyone made extra support brackets/tabs and have pics on where to fix. Cheers Steve.

Great fix thread here:

I'll be DIYing this myself. My bracket is moving when the clutch is pressed.

Just need to find a dash removal thread now.
