*** Rear differential problem? ***

Last weeks I hear a repetitive crunching type noise from the rear of my car, only on slippery roads when turn to the left, and usually when I full press the throttle in order to spin the rear wheels and lock the diff!
Is the release bearing or should I am looking for a worn rear differential, and if it is the rear diff why it sounds only when cornering to the left? My dealer told me - without checking the car - that is probably a wheel bearing or worn centre diff (!).
Bear in mind that before 2 months I changed my diff oil with Motul Gear300-75W/90, which supposed to be racing oil. I am planning to change it again with Castrol SAF-XJ 75W/140 that is suitable for normal and LSD rear diff from Japanese cars.
Your help is really appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
