Exclamation Rear GT lsd on a 2002 wrx

Well, i always thought that having a rear lsd was better than having an open unit, my car had an open unit, so i asked the mechanic if a swap was possible and he said yes, fitting the material from an old GT.

The old gtīs had that transmission with 2 splines, to make the viscous unit "work", but now it seems the transmissions are a bit shorter, so they are going to fit some spacers between the wheels and the transmissions.

Meanwhile, and because the shop is really far away from my house, the car has been sitting there for a while(doing other stuff too) and iīve been reading a good part of the internet on my free time, and the more i read, the more confused i get...some people actually say an open diff is better

My main goal when i thought about this was to reduce the understeer while cornering, maybe transform it in oversteer, and hopefully be able to control the car easier, since understeer is a bit funky imao

What do you guys think? Anyone of you ever attempted this?
