Ultimate post on aftermarket exhausts

I'm looking to totally replace my standard exhaust on my MY02, and have seen losts of posts on different brands/different experiences, and I'm sure loads of people like me (ie muppets
) would like a clear starting point on what differences people have found with their aftermarket systems. I'm looking at a full decat Scoobysport system on an otherwise standard car (except up-pipe)- but are there better ones? Is there an increase in mpg, and what sort of performance increases? Any other issues?

Jon,
I have a full scoobysport system on my MY01- including up-pipe- and am very happy with it.
Many people rave about the magnex exhausts, and blitz are very good but a little noisy for me.
i'm sure mr. 'helpful' jamie whitfield at www.performanceexhausts.net will be happy to advise you!

thx Simon - what difference did the system make in torque and overall performance? Can you really notice it?
Just want to get some 'real world' opinions b4 I talk to Scoobysport!

Jeez - al lot of unmodified scoobs are pushing out 230ish bhp? What's going on with those Rolling roads - or is the fabled 'estimated power at flywheel' (ie b*llocks) ;D

jon,
if i remeber correctly the full system on petes car with an ITG pulled it close to 250bhp- quite an increase i think you'll agree.
the car is much more responsive- turbo spools up approx 750rpm sooner- and the noises from it are ace!
