Any tips on fitting a new TSL downpipe to a MY99 RB5?
I've removed the IC and tried removing the Heatshield, but my first bolt has sheered (just the heatshield) and I'm worried the ones attaching the OEM DP to the Turbo might do the same.
Also, where's the best place to jack the front of the car up, so I can sit it on some axle stands?

You may find that a few of your bolts on the OEM D/P will shear as the heat semi welds them together
not sure about the best way around this unless you got some other bolts with your D/P??

Gave up trying in the end; way to much hassle for a non-mechanic like me. Will get the Dealer to swap the DP and new centre on Tuesday.

Not necessarily the heat causing the sieze. The nuts/bolts are stainless steel, which does have a habit of siezing when it comes do undoing the bolts. I have had this happen with stainless steel bolts that are brand new, and never seen heat. Stainless may look good, and never rust, but it does have its niggles too. The locking is one of them. Heat may make it worse though.
