Unhappy

Previously posted on tech but no reply. My turbo (99 69K) has developed a ?missfire approaching 4krpm then pulls cleanly beyond. Going into dealer next week but they don't seem to have a clue. Any one have any ideas?

Thumbs up

Where do you live? If you can get to Nottingham I would go and see someone who knows what they are doing ie TSL Motorsport. If your dealer hasn't a clue seems not much point in going there unless the car is under warranty?

I didn't really believe that my problem was going to be spark plug related, but it was. I got my second scoob recently and during the test drive, I was getting terrible misfiring/hesitation almost everytime that I pressed down on the loud pedal and went over 5K. 9 out of 10 times I hit this patch at 5.5k rpm. Thought that the car had somethiong seriously wrong with it. Anyways, 2 of my coil packs turned out to be be pretty shot. I had all for changed and she hasn't missed a beat since.
If you have a boost guage and the boost spikes at the point of misfire/hesitation, then I believe that this points to something else, I just can't remember what exactly....

Cheers,

Nick
