On a car with about 300 BHP I reckon the Prodrive backbox is too restrictive. I never thought backboxes made a massive difference but when the rest of the breathing is sorted out I am in no doubt that the really loud ones do. What about the moderate volumes ones like a Magnex 6x4 or round? Any (hard) data on restrictiveness?

I'll second that, the HKS Hiper is lovely... definately not too loud (unlike BPM's!), sounds great, looks great (IMHO), superb fit and made a big difference to the car... just need fuel sorted now tho!

John,
Scoobysport 'quiet' version works for me, and is less restrictive than Prodrive (but more so than standard SS...obviously!).
Be aware that putting in the VF23 will make everything louder (deeper) - lots!

If only David Vizard had owned a Scooby we would have all these questions answered.
Our only hope is to borrow a selction of exhausts and do extensive dyno time and use a flow bench (I have designs for a home made example!).
Perhaps a performance mag will do an article if you write to them nicely?
