was thinking that, must have a better look, even take all the pipes off and start again

was hoping it was going to be something a bit easier to find

Question

no different today it's not a leak

is this going to be anything to do with my Dawes? just flowed the heads and headers and fitted a decat DP all at the same time, i'm running the standard bleed hole size - could that be a problem now?

Kev,

Its strange that 7-8 psi is about actuator pressure but if you have the dawes then you wont have the boost solenoid connected? If you did i would have checked for kinks etc. Personally, I would put everything back and remove the dawes, to eliminate, and then check all pipes again. Cant see how your mods would cause this.

Cheers

Paul.

that's what i was thinking, if i put the solednoid back into the system instead of the dawes then i should hit 11psi (standard)

job for tonite

7 psi, sounds like the ECU has put the car in limp home mode for some reason. It usually does this when a sensor is buggered. You may have a faulty MAF sensor, the usual culprit.

Cheers,

Wrexy.

Question

can it alter the boost if the solenoid boost controller isn't plugged in so to speak, surely it can't control the Dawes

Cool

Check the wastegate actuator and the wastegate "penny" (has it dropped off. If these are OK, chances are that you need to increase the size of the hole in your restrictor.

8psi is the crack pressure of the wastegate - sounds like you have lost control of the actuator

well, solved the overboost, the pipe to the actuator had blown off (can't see how it's managed it) so when i can get the car out the drive i'll see what happens next
