What make is the DV? Is it vent to atmosphere? IE did you have to blank the recirc pipe when you installed it?

BTW this should be in the drivetrain section, just for your info.

I bougght the DV from TSL at the National day at Don last week, it says FORGE on it an I was told it was a new model, I have blanked of the pipe and fitted it correctly I think. I believe it is an actuator type and it has a sort of mesh filter in the middle.

Try getting on to Forge - you may need the other internal spring (forge has two - red and blue) I got Forge to send me the blue one and now - whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooosh

NB - Mines a MY99 tho'
Easy job though, undo the screws, remove old spring, put new one in and bingo!!! When you say overtightened re the fitting - that would not cause it not to work...........

Scoobyjawa,
My DV gives off more of a (supposed to be) loud ticking noise than a wooooooooosh, I dont know if a new spring is the answer, personally I think its knackered.

Sounds like it could be the chatter from the red spring - its alot stronger so opens slower, thus not much whooosh and a sort of WRC stylie chatter.
The blue is softer so lets the air escape quicker........
Give forge a bell and see what they say - I've always found them very helpful![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
