Guys..
I've got a Scoobysport Backbox and Downpipe (on a MY99)..
I still have the standard Scoob Center section... What should I replace it with (de-cat bits only) ?
cheers!
Simon.

Simon,
I'd just get the SS one to match the rest of your system. Can't see any benefits from going for any other manufacturer (other than cost).
At least with everything from SS, it would be a more balanced system.

It's a bent piece of tube.
One made from stainless, easily available & cheap would be my choice There does seem to be a world-wide shortage of these things at the moment for some reason so that may make a difference...

AFAIK, the centre doesn't generate any additional noise on it's own. What it would do is affect the noise you get out of the backbox.
When I changed my std centre to a PPP (it has a resonator) there wasn't any noticeable noise increase. When I change the std backbox to an STI one that's when the noise changed.
After fitting a TSL one, it has changed the noise of the STI backbox again to a much deeper burble.
When I re-fitted the std centre, the backbox did quieten down a little, but not much.
So, if you want to get the full benefit from the SS system, go with a straight-through centre. If you want to tone the SS backbox down slightly, you'll want the resonator one IMHO.

about 56 quid m8
Seriously though, the Scoobymania one looks like a 3" straight-through system, but I'd have expected that to be more expensive.

ok so on the scoobymania website it just say's it's interconnecting exhaust is roughly £50
on the scoobynet website it says:
so i assume the scoobymania centre doesn't have this fexible joint???
and hence the £50 difference in price??
otherwise - if its just a 3" piece of tube I can get one made up in Engineering on a prototyper...
on the scoobynet website it says:
Scoobysport centre sections are the only stainless steel replacement pipes for a Subaru that replicate the original pressed “flexible joint” flange. This joint is critical to isolating the rear exhaust section from the twisting action of the engine under load.
and hence the £50 difference in price??

Sorry, can't see any difference either. Might be worth phoning Scoobymania though to double-check.
The SS and TSL ones are around the £100 mark, but Scoobymania and Magnex (non-resonator thingy) are between £50ish and £60.
