Who has an autometer boost gauge

Hi,
Got one today but the pipe to it is very narrow and a hard plastic type.... how do you connect this to the vac pipe on the engine which is rubbery and of a larger diameter...?? i dont have a T that will enable the harder autometer pipe to fit...ie it wont push over a normal T piece...
The only other thing there is with the kit ia an adapter to tap into the manifold and im fu**ed if im doing that..

Hi Dan.
You will need a t-piece and a short piece of vacuum pipework. Force the piece of small diameter plastic pipe you have into the vacuum tubing and take tour pick where you want to tee into, there are plenty vacuum hoses in the manifold to choose from. Depending on your model year, you may hve a spare nipple on the inlet manifold that is capped off. If this is the case, you won't need a t-piece.
Hope this helps,
Alan

Its a while since i fitted mine but i'm pretty sure i used a piece of rubber tube that fitted snugly over the 't' piece and then pushed the supplied plastic tube into the rubber. ( think it was screen washer hose) U should only need about 75mm though i seem to remember that they were not very generous with the plastic tube.
Best of luck M8

All very complicated??
I removed the blank on the drivers side of the manifold at the back. It is 1/8" NPT blank with a square drive.
The Autometer gauge comes with a 1/8"NPT compression fitting to use with the nylon tube. So I put this in the hole where the blank was.
Easy.

Good to see you got it ok
I tapped it off the pipe going to the dump valve - just bought a windscreen washer t piece & jammed the hose into the end with some glue - helpfully they don't provide you with one of these as you are s'posed to tap into the inlet manifold with the required bits - sounded a bit risky to me though...
Seems you have it all set up ok - only thing I had trouble with was loosing pressure through the t - piece - not the best fit...
