I've got a Nov MY99 on a v plate, will a PPP ECU from a March 99 on a t plate be a direct swap?
Both are the phase 2 engines.
Is there anything else that needs to be done before or after the ecu is swapped over, or is it simply a case of plugging it in and starting her up?
Cheers

John Banks would defo know, but he's in Norway this week.
The restrictor is a small metal valve in one of the pipes. The smaller the hole the more restriction on air-flow. I think John used different sizes in the past to came down boost spikes when he had his PPP running with a DP.
Try asking Simon Hickey (SimonH). I think he's just fitted a PPP to his de-catted MY99 car and I don't think he's reported any probs.

It will work but you will need the restrictor plug out of the T peice, (will take a pic and send to you) and you may also have to drill this out to 1.3mm if you get overboosting (i did with the d/p added)

You should be able to feel the plug in the pipe ive pointed out, removing the pipe isnt a problem either but if you need to drill the plug, make sure you put the plug back in the right way!
Its pretty small, approx 5mm in length

Yeah Mega, I'm with Moles Dad on this one. Fit the ECU and give it a proper test. I'm sure John managed to get his hands on an adjustable restrictor (or maybe just a few different sized ones) to save him have to drill them.
Another folk who could help are Andy Forrest (AndyF) and Alan Garrod (AlanG).
