Hello !

Does anyone know where to find a harness to properly connect to ECu without cuting wires ? (for my99 annd my 00) (for example when you modify parameters received by ECU to increase power... ;-))

Thanks in advance

Chris

Hello !

I have MY00 and i want to install a box which modify parameters received by ECU to increase power. But they say that i must cut the wires which arrived to ECU. And that's i don't want !!! I want something to plug between connectors of ECU and connectors of car that i can cut to insert my box !

Is it clear ? (i don't think so because my english is bad...)

I think your going to have to cut them... unless someone can get you the connectors... otherwise buy and old ecu and wiring loom and remove sockets from ecu and the plug from the loom and make an adaptor??

Yes but I know that this exists ! I have already seen on a jap site and it's included in some kits...

Your idea is good but it's very difficult to find an old ecu with wires !!!!!

Chris,

You could try some of the Subaru breakers over here (if you haven't already done so).

Getting an ECU is difficult (although not cheap); wiring maybe another thing completely.

I believe you are looking for either AMP 040/070 Series Multilock or AMP Metrimate Connectors, exactly which ones varies from year to year.

Mulitlock General Info

Yes i think that's connectors that i want ! But i know it exists with female connector (as ECU have), male connectors and wires between. In this case we can cut wires ! If there is any problem with your box, you take back this harness and you plug as it was before and we can't see anything ! ;-)
If i can find connectors, why not doing harness by myself but in France they sold connectors by 50 !!!! It's too much for my poor car !...
help me !...
