We have just had my STiV rebuilt, and have found upon starting the car up for the first time that Injector No. 4 is staying open, causing the car to overfuel.

Obviously, this is very worrying, and we have swapped over the injectors to see if it is the injector, but it still does the same thing.

I have Apexi boost and fuel controllers, but have turned all of the settings to 0, and also disconnected them, but still have this problem.

The only other thing I can think of is trying another E.C.U, or checking the wiring to the injector.

Can anybody shed any light?

Older models premy97 were renound for dodgy earthing between ECU & Engine - this I believe resulted in the injectors sticking open.

Not sure if this is the case with your MY - but worth investigating IMHO - as your symptons sound similar.

Madforit - are you sure the injector is staying open - is it possibly an o-ring leak - maybe only occuring when it is hot. The injector o-rings are a bugger to get seated - also I used a set of new o-rings that looked identical to the Scooby ones - but were not OEM Scooby rings - they leaked and leaked and leaked.

Went back to OLD Scooby o-rings and it has been fine!

PS Note to self - must replace them with new ones
