Question

Long shot I know, but here we go. MY97 70K on clock, recenlty I've noticed a creaking noice coming from the drivers side of the engine, I think it's coming from around the downpipe area. It makes the noise even when stopped and I push down the go pedal. It's quiet loud and p!ssing me off.

Any help apprecaited.

Cheers,

Leigh

also worth checking the downpipe is secure at the bracket from the gearbox, if this is loose, the dp moves against the bracket and squeaks.

Cheers guy's

Barge - i've tried moving hte throttle from under the bonet and you can hear, and it's louder, so it's not the pedal itself.

I'll check the downpipe is secure.

Cheers,

Leigh
