I am assuming that it is on an MY01 which has the ODBII installed.

I have recently removed the cat on the downpipe with a scoobysport downpipe, and i knew that the engine light would come on, and it has, but i've heard that when it comes on it restricts the power, is this true?? any help will be appreciated!!
