MY01 WRX Decat efficiency/mpg ?
#1
Hi,
I remember reading recently that a newage WRX with decat centre section gains more MPG than with fully cat'd original! - can anyone confirm this with rough figures ?
edited because the original post didn't make sense..doh!
Cheers

That's spooky, was in here to post the same.
Only I'm getting much lower MPG now. 170 miles per tank as opposed to 200 before the de-cat downpipe was fitted.
Is there a better explanation for this apart from me trying to make the car "sing" with my right foot?

My MY01 was more thirsty standard than it is now I've modified it
Standard figures were
Normal driving = approx 210 miles per tank
Sporty driving = approx 170 miles per tank
Now i've fitted PPP, Decat, Forge VTA, ITG, HKS AFR
Normal driving = approx 250 miles per tank
Sporty driving = approx 200 miles per tank
Nathan..
