I have just had a call saying my turbo is stuff the, seal got melted.
Can I get these replaced?
Or do I have to get a hole new turbo?

Where can I get a new Turbo from, I would like one lots of waist gate chatter...

What are Hybrid ones?
What are roller bearing ones?

What is best?
Any one got a 2nd hand one?

do a search on turbos and you'll get hundreds, if not thousands, of results. Short answer is yes you can get the seals replaced and the whole thing rebalanced but if you're thinking of upping power then might as well get another one. You don't say what your car is but 2nd hand ones are not rare. Obviously, there's no saying what conidiotn these would be in and how long they would last you. Midland Impreza sell 2nd hand turbos off the shelf for god price.

Your budget will to some extent determine your options. How much are you looking to spend ?

You can get wastegate chatter by fitting a vent to atmo dump valve. Also more to do with what downpipe than the turbo itself. A hybrid can cost big big bucks. Let us know what mods you got on the car.

pretty much anywhere (power engineering, demon tweeks, any tuning place) but be advised that dump to atmo can cause idling and mixture probs. Do a search on the forums for this.

OK so I need to take my Turbo off, and get it looked out.

Is there a thread on how to do this?
