Have looked this morning at my car (MY98 WRX import), and have noticed an oil leak, seems to be coming from around the oil filter area, more than a few drops of oil on the floor so worring me, any one any ideas what it could be (no drama queens please!!), this is due for a service, was thinking possibly the seal on the filter??

Cheers
Neil

Could be. Could also be a number of other things. Best clean down the engine, drive about, have another look for signs of the leak.
The problem with any leak is it will travel the path of least resistance so may not be originating from the most obvious place.
I got my service people to locate a recent oil leak to the front crankshaft seal.

Get it in for the service and save yourself the worry.
Good luck.
