Question

Anyone know the best oil to fit into the gearbox and diff for the MY02? I've read about synth oils which improve performance and reduce wear/friction.

Also, what's the capacity of the gearbox since the manual doesn't say?

Castrol Syntrax 75w90 is readily available, if a little expensive, and seems the preferred option of many (including me!).

You will want 5 litres (you'll have a bit left over) to do the diff and gearbox, and you will notice a nice difference!

cheers,
simon

AS - you'll probably find everyone has a "best". I take a more pragmatic view in that if it's by an established/recognised/good brand then it's probably ok or they wouldn't have put it on the market.

Thumbs up

As said before Syntrax is the way to go,costs about £10 per litre but well worth it and you should notice an improvement.
