dogger, My UKmy97 went in to have piston slap fixed last winter, also had a de-cat DP and clutch (Helix) fitted at the same time
I was and am very happy with the work, it was dead loud before and runs smoothly now. How bad is yours?

I've got piston slap on my MY98 WRX but haven't done anything about it yet. Roughly how much am I looking at for a fix. Am I right in saying it would involve a new oversized piston?

Scoobysport have quoted 600+vat which is very reasonable- i am always slightly wary of hidden costs & poor service which is why i started this topic. let me know if you come up with anything else.

NO!! Sorry pete, as i'm sure others will back me up, there are so many cowboys & rip off merchants in this area that I am extremely wary, thanks for the confirmation, my car will be with you in the new year.
