Not sure if this is the right forum but here goes and thanks in advance for any advice.
Had a scary thing happen the other day when reversing out of a tight parking spot. I was on full lock (i know!) and there was a hell of a clunk type noise. I thought perhaps i had driven over something but couldn't see anything. Then i thought perhaps i have a slow puncture and the rim had touched the side of a pothole. The tyre looked a bit flat so i drove about 400 yards to the nearest airline and checked the pressure which seemed okay. Nervously drove home and have only done minimal mileage since. I have only reversed on full lock once and the same thing happened again.
Never had this happen before and it just happened suddenly. I had a full (90k) service only a month a go with no real dramas.
I would really appreciate any ideas as to where to start looking for a problem.
The car is a 94 UK wagon with full PPP.

Play in the front driveshafts?

Brake pads moving in their calipers?

Mine does this from time to time. Could be a number of things. Most aren't serious.

The possible problems could be:

- A badly seated spring (Had this on mine, and fixed it)
- lower ball joint getting worn (Not expensive, and quite easy to replace when the noise happens all the time)
- CV joint going (Unfortunately this may mean a replacement drive shaft I would say that this is the most unlikely though.)
- normal brake pad moving noise (they all do that Sir!)
- the diff taking up load (again, they all do that from time to time Sir)

Personally, I'd not worry about it, unless it starts doing it constantly.
